MEET MRS. VIRGINIA

At 85, Mrs. Virginia  had a huge fear of water but through aquatic physical therapy with Integrated Therapy, she has overcome it and is making great progress working on her balance! Just look at that smille.

The best part of her therapy experience was she became so proud of herself for being able to balance on the wonder board in the pool environment. Mrs. Virginia is a prime example of not letting the fear of water keep you from experiencing the benefits of aquatic physical therapy! Have no fear, Mrs. Virginia! Have no fear!

UNIMAGINABLE RESILIENCE

Integrated Therapy offers aquatic occupational therapy in several of our pool locations. Peter, one of our pediatric patients under the care of Brooke Colburn, was able to independently walk through the doors of his elementary school for his first day of school this year. As practitioners whose sole focus is on our patients, we cannot get enough of these types of "happy" successes!

SUNSHINE IN
THEIR HEARTS

An excerpt from Anne Holifield in a letter to Integrated Therapy:

“I was in aqua therapy with Kathy Wagner and Lori Ewing. These are two of the most wonderful women I have ever known. They are understanding, sympathetic, very knowledgeable, and patient--yet they push you to improve constantly. They are my sunshine girls. They are always cheerful, upbeat, and hopeful. They treat all their patients with the same loving care, attitude, and attention. I always leave happy, energetic, and optimistic. I have made much more progress than I ever did with dry land PT. Kathy is my water warrior. Please share...so they know how much I appreciate them.”

CELEBRATING
MOBILITY AT 97

We helped celebrated a most Happy 97th Birthday to one of our favorite aquatic physical therapy patients recently! His daughter shared with us, "I attribute Dad’s improved mobility at age 97 to the pool therapy he has been receiving for his balance and knee.”

WHEELCHAIR NO MORE

This Integrated Therapy patient had been wheelchair bound for 15 years due to MVA and multiple co-morbidities before coming to us. She was originally referred to us for an LBP issue, and at first she was apprehensive with aquatic physical therapy as nothing had helped her in the past. Fast forward through her aquatic physical therapy treatments, we are so happy she is now walking with a hemi-walker and her LBP is completely resolved. Her neurologist was even surprised when she walked into his office for a followup appointment. She is extended for more aquatic therapy to help transition her to community ambulation. Just when she thought of giving up, she turned to us as a last chance finding the healing she needed!
